Time to Vote for a Change

The town of Perdido Beach elections will be on August 25. We need people elected to help stop the dangerous and poorly planned PUBLIC boat launch and correct the current town council’s reckless growth agenda. We are hoping that we can effect a change in leadership. If you own property in Perdido Beach and are registered, then Please Vote.

If you own property but believe that you are not registered to vote in Perdido Beach, you can easily go online to change your voter status to Perdido Beach and help us win. Please visit the link below if you are interested in doing this.

Go to ” SOS.Alabama.Gov/Alabama-Votes“. This is the Alabama Secretary of State ( John Merrill) homepage.  From the home page, use the Voter Registration online form to change your voting location.   Then, you can obtain an Absentee Ballot Request by requesting it online.

So the process is :
1. change your voting location online
2. submit application for an absentee ballot
3. send in the absentee ballot application
4. receive an absentee ballot in the mail.
                                          .

This needs to be done by August 10.

In the last week the town approved a bid and commencement of construction on the poorly planned, denounced by law enforcement, PUBLIC boat launch at their “special meeting”, even with the current litigation challenging their plans. They are out of control and need to be stopped.

If you feel as strongly about this as we do, please forward this information to anyone that may help us.

Please Vote in the August 25th election for :
Chris Head, Catherine Cubbage, Pam Kitchens, Christi Koehle, and Sandy McAnnaly.

These are the current positions and candidates as posted on window at Perdido Beach Town Hall. We have crossed some names out to avoid any confusion 😉

Mayor: Kae Hamilton incumbent vs Chris Head
Place 1 Jimmy Page vs Catherine Cubbage
Place 2 Pam Kitchens
Place 3 Christi Koehle
Place 4 Andrew Stewart incumbent vs Sandy McAnally
Place 5 Gary Keifer incumbent

Some recent statements and goals from the new proposed leadership are refreshingly listed below. Notice the emphasis to be transparent, plan things, and be honest. Its a shame we have to say this out loud, but this has certainly not been the norm with the current administration.

I propose to look at all options to protect our community in order to keep it a piece of paradise.

I want to have complete transparency and open communication no matter the subject.

I want the water verses inland controversy to stop.

I want what is best for the community as a whole.

I think Chris (Head) would do a great job (as mayor) because of his knowledge, honesty, straightforwardness and leadership skills..etc.

I want to help the community be the best it can be.

I am a planner and I have to have all questions answered to make an educated decision, like cost, upkeep, safety, insurance,…etc on a project.

A judge is making a decision that will help guide us on how we move forward with the boat launch property.

I will not hide information. I will be up front and honest regardless of if it was what the mayor or anyone else wanted me to do.

I am not a yes mam/sir person. I will be honest and consider all the members of our community.

I don’t like all the back door plotting that goes on in our town, so with that being said, I am here to help anyone I can as long as you are in this for the betterment of Perdido Beach and no personal agenda.

I believe each of us wants to protect our piece of paradise.
